My Story...

My story begins with me!

 

I was at a point of my life, where I needed to explore my connection with myself to enable me to stand in my power to bring my authentic self to the world. This was important especially in the role I had in Human Resources, working with organisations and staff to bring positive changes in their working lives and also to understand how to navigate them through difficult life changes

 

Facing many life challenges, myself, I was trying to make sense of my own experiences and it made me appreciate that the world was not limited to my own experience. I somehow, unconsciously pursed the journey to heal myself and work on me, which was going great! It wasn’t until the famous, infamous COVID 19 Pandemic and other political and financial challenges that came into force, I found myself using my own journey, my life experiences and knowledge to hold space for others. 

 

I realised that each individuals’ world was made of their own perceptions based on their life experiences and many other factors. Often these lenses were clouded by the identities that had shaped their worlds through social conditioning, religion, education, trauma, or values that belonged to others. At a time where deep compassion and kindness was required, it become restrictive due to our own limited capacity with our lens of the world, hence effecting our ability to connect and show empathy / become compassionate. It simply didn’t make sense to me! I decided to broaden my own horizons in the pursuit to understand. Comprehending this was at the core of my world to be authentic to myself and with everything that I supported both professionally and personally. 

 

I studied and trained in everything from Mental Health Training, Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Energy Alignment, Breathwork, Personality Types and many other modalities. I was stripping my own limiting beliefs and consequently this helped me to heal on many levels. I peeled back the layers that was no longer me. As I healed, I evolved, my knowledge grew and my understanding of the “whole self” and how I was meant to be at that time, which I now appreciate is a lifelong journey. I understood the intricacies and synchronicity of the mind, emotions, physical body and energies for individuals and the wider impact it had on Communities. 

 

I wanted others to benefit from the understanding that I had gained. I realised that empathy could only be given when each of us understood another’s world. I wanted to support others to release what no longer serves them and which really requires a Heart Centric approach. It was only after releasing those limiting beliefs that one’s healing could take place to align the whole self to truly flourish.

 

I want to make a difference to others life, to help navigate them through difficult changes with compassion and to offer them that safe space to realign their mind, body and soul. 

 

So Heart Centric Therapy was born.... 

How to Work With Sian...

Arrange a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss the issues you would like to work on. How I can help you and if you feel I am the therapist to help you on your journey.

Provide a timeline of positive and negative events that have happened in your life. Highlighting the issues you would like to work, what difficulties you are experiencing and how they are affecting you, outlining your goals for therapy and your desired outcome.

1:1 private and confidential session where we establish a relationship and foundation to begin. We start with a general relaxation exercise looking at deeper issues in coming sessions. Bring a notepad to sessions to make notes, this helps for reflecting after sessions.

Come with open mind, be willing to have  honest and uncomfortable conversations and most importantly be prepared to accept support, compassion and a chance to put yourself self-first. 

Some homework will be given to enhance and embed the 1:1 sessions along with self-care exercises.

It is helpful to make your GP aware that you are having a session with Heart Centric Therapy.

Qualifications

Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist; registered with the NCH and NCFE.

As a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Psychotherapy Council I adhere to their Code of Ethics and practice guidelines and am fully insured.

 

  • Certified Integrative Psychotherapy; registered with Academy of Clinical and Medical Hypnosis 

  • NLP and Coaching; registered with Academy of Clinical and Medical Hypnosis 

  • Certificate in Stress Management; registered with Academy of Clinical and Medical Hypnosis 

  • Certificate in MHFA Champion Mental Health 

  • Train the Trainer REACT Mental Health Training 

  • Certificate in Reiki Level II
